Meet Tamar

Tamar Asken brings her unique background in both finance and fine arts to her love for architecture and her clients. As a real estate agent who is also a Certified Financial Planner™, her knowledge of personal finance and investments, provides a valuable benefit to those working with her. Tamar also holds a BFA in sculpture and metal art from CCA, and has a lifelong obsession with architecture and design. She delights in talking about everything to do with houses, and she is dedicated to providing clients with the utmost level of service. Born and raised in Los Angeles, and now raising her 3 children here. Her love for this city, it’s people and her job is infectious.

At one point in my home buying journey Tamar Asken told me that one of the reasons she loves being a realtor is she gets to work with her clients as they browse through all the what-ifs of life. What would life be if you live in a condo downtown? What about the Valley? A house in mid-city? I was initially overwhelmed by all those what-ifs but that faded away when I started working with Tamar. I said I wanted to look all over LA and we did exactly that, never once feeling pressured into making a decision. When looking at a property we’d talk through the plusses and minuses and with each we both learned a bit more about me and what I was looking for. Inventory had been very limited and after a few months of looking I was starting to feel that it might be time to pause and give the market a bit of time. Then a listing popped up in my email inbox from Tamar. It’s the Spanish style colonial I never knew I wanted but had to have as soon as I saw it! Tamar Asken made a stressful process fun.
