Meet Michael

Michael is a San Francisco Bay Area real estate advisor forming real estate investment strategies for the acquisition, development and sale of multi-unit, tenancy-in-common (TIC) and condominium value-added property and in the representation of residential home buyers and sellers.

His expertise extends as a 1031 exchange specialist providing construction project planning, design and management, change of use strategies, and sourcing of material and labor for small to large residential and commercial development projects. Michael facilitates the management of complex partnerships, homeowner associations, and the legal process, collaborating with attorneys and CPAs through to tax planning.

In 1996 Michael began his real estate career in TIC and condominium development, becoming the owner of a San Francisco commercial real estate brokerage before joining Vanguard Properties. Developing over 20 apartment buildings and close to 40 TIC projects, he has also flipped houses in New York and San Francisco. His culture of “vision first, taking a step-by-step approach” enables him to consistently identify, educate, and guide you to the right project and investment solution to fulfill your real estate goals.

Growing up in Ventura, California, with a grandfather who was a real estate developer along the Southern California coast, he attended University of California, Berkeley, earning a B.A. in Psychology and then worked in medical research at UCSF.

When not wearing a hard hat or closing business, you will find Michael focusing on fitness, at cultural events, visiting wine country, and traveling globally. Michael is proud of the dynamic combination of talent, experience, and hard work that is Avenue 8.
